Gevork Hartoonian - Associate Professor of Architecture, University of Canberra, Australia
Gevork Hartoonian has practiced architecture and taught design studio and courses in architectural history and theory at several American universities including Columbia University, and the Pratt Institute and currently in Australia at the Canberra University. After receiving his Phd from the University of Pennsylvania, his research is focused on modern architectural history and theory with a particular interest in the tectonics. He is published in books and magazines on this subject. Current research is focused on Sydney architecture (1950-2000), and the historiography of the early modern architecture. He has lectured in schools of architecture in Australia, America, and Canada. He has also presented papers to many conferences including the Society of Architectural Historians, Australia/New Zealand.
