This project is an “oscillation between art and science.” Set in a disused dimensional granite quarry in Vermont, it explores links between art and architecture and the processes that occur within and outside a quarry. It includes an “artist’s laboratory,” “geology studio,” residential quarters and public visiting facilities.

A project that is very strong on craftmanship and provides a dramatic and interesting exploration of carving and residue.
