Transformation, Materiality and Enclosure on Raoul Island
NZIA Practice Clinton Weaver Designed By
Clinton Weaver - HIGHLY COMMENDED - UNITEC Citation
Eleven months spent living on the remote volcanic Raoul Island as a ranger provided inspiration for Clinton’s design for a meteorological station and ancillary library. The project responds to the island’s overwhelming location and vastness through the exploration of the notion of enclosure. JURORS’ COMMENTS
Very good design, conceptually rigorous with a good series of spatial sequences and a simplicity that made it stand out. « BACK TO FINALISTS
