NZIA Practice Ari Stevens Designed By
Ari Stevens - Victoria University - Wellington Citation
Ari argues the irrelevance of the notion of traditional architectural permanence within the contemporary context of a New Zealand city. He proposes two gateway projects for opposing boundaries of Whangarei, including facilities for 238 community clubs and groups, to “restimulate the city” and bring “cohesiveness, identity and a grounding force to the lives of inhabitants.” JURORS’ COMMENTS
Imaginative architecture that stands up for the every day life of the community, generating and facilitating activity « BACK TO FINALISTS
